This rub was the winner of NBBQA 2014 Award of Excellence (BBQ Dry Rub & Seasoning – All Purpose), and it is the official rub of the Sweet Swine o’ Mine World Champion BBQ Team who were Memphis in May World Champions in 2009 & 2013, and World Champions (Pork Shoulder) in 2005, 2008, 2009, and 2013. Sweet Rub O’ Mine is made with turbinado sugar and contains the perfect balance of barbecue flavours for world champion results. The Sweet Swine ‘O Mine BBQ Team have used a number of spices to attain a true barbecue flavour, and their rub is great for preparing your own barbeque sauce, cocktail sauce, or any other sauce.     Tried this rub on baby backs and was very pleased. I’ve been trying all sorts of rubs and so far found this to be the best. The true test was my kids, who cleaned out three racks in no time, all without sauce ! If you know how to bring tender ribs to the table, this rub will really add to your cook. I plan on stocking up .

    I’ve always used Bad Byron’s Butt Rub but that was sometimes a little spicy for some folks. This rub is a perfect blend of spicy and sweetness. 80 people had it on smoked pork butts and I didn’t have one complaint, only compliments!! I’m a believer and have switched!!

    This rub was really good. It isn’t spicy to my taste like i generally prefer but many of my friends loved the pulled pork. I did one with Lamberts and one with Rudy’s (Spicier) and they were both awesome.

    Excellent rub. I’ve used it own St. Louis style ribs along with regular spare ribs. The results were amazing. Have used it on whole chicken wings and the whole family fell in love with them. I will be purchasing this again.

    I really like this rub! I have been using it on everything from Pork Chops, Chicken wings, Steaks, burger patties and more. I have not yet used it to smoke something, but i am planning on doing a shoulder this coming weekend and im sure it will be awesome. If you are looking for a good all around rub, this is the guy for you. It has a very sweet and smoky flavor to it, and the spices are very high quality, it has all the ingredients listed on the side and there is nothing out of the ordinary or that you cant pronounce. Szegged Rib Rub used to be my go to rub for everything, but I think this may have just replaced it!

    I use this rub on pork shoulders when I smoke them. I coat the shoulder in mustard and add a generous amount of this rub 24 hours before smoking. Tastes great!

    This is my favorite pork dry rub…..not too spicy , not too sweet…..just right on the money….combine this with a slow smoked shoulder or butt, you are in for some fine eating…What i do…a little veg oil, rub the pork down, apply this dry rub generously…every part of the meat should be coated. Put in smoker bare on rack for 1 to 1 1/2 hours under high heat (275) and heavy smoke..I like apple or cherry the best….Then, take out put in tin pan and cover tightly with foil….turn down smoker heat to about 215, and then just let the meat simmer in that pan for about 8 hours. Take it out, pour off the juices (save it!!)…let the pork rest for about 5 -10 minutes..then using forks pull it apart, but don’t bruise it!! in other words, don’t over work it. Pull it apart to that you see nice strands..you do not want to make it mushy!!! ..now here’s where the magic is, pour all that wonder Au Ju dripping right back over the pork, and turn it in and mix it well (again, don’t over work that meat!!) really good…you’ll have the best smoked pulled pork you’ve ever tasted..put some of your pork on a mini slider bun. Maybe a little daub of BBQ sauce…but if you did it right, that pork will be so moist you won’t need anything on it at all…

    We routinely use this to rub down a pork shoulder or butt for making pulled pork. A lot of sweet, not overly done on heat. Just right for us. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants a good all around rub.

    We don’t care for overly spicy rubs and Lamberts Sweet Rub delivers. Not too spicy or salty and slightly sweet enough to get that great flavor without overpowering the meat but still gives great color. This is my go-to rub for ribs and pork butt.
