Amazing flavour, apple brings the sweetness to any summertime BBQ. Recommend adding some heat to this. I added Meat Church ‘Honey Hog Hot’ rub to this and it was amazing.
I have most all of his spices and really love them overall. I normally get the peach one which is awesome. However, Heath’s pecan rub has a very odd taste to me and I’m just not a fan of it personally. I can’t really pinpoint the issue but I wont be getting that particular flavour again for sure.
The product is really good. While I am not a know-it-all on rubs, it’s really delicious. We smoked a brisket with the rub and it turned out really well. It is very sweet which surprised me as I am not a huge fan of sweet rubs since my wife will make a BBQ sauce using some of the remnants to help bring out more flavour, but overall a great rub
